Developed by Sedleo and published by Dear Villagers, 1348 Ex Voto is an upcoming third-person action-adventure set in medieval Italy, launching on March 12, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Alongside the release date announcement, the developer confirmed that the previously planned Xbox Series X|S version has been canceled to allow the studio to focus on delivering the best possible experience on its remaining platforms.

Set during one of the darkest years in Italian history, 1348 Ex Voto takes place against the backdrop of political instability, widespread violence, and the devastation caused by disease and social collapse. The game follows a young noble trained in the ways of knighthood, whose journey across the Italian peninsula begins after a bandit raid leaves a loved one missing. What starts as a personal search quickly becomes a brutal passage through a fractured land shaped by fear, faith, and power struggles.
Sedleo’s debut project draws heavily from historical research, with the Italian development team traveling across rural regions of the country to capture landscapes, architecture, and atmosphere for a more grounded depiction of 14th-century Italy. From ruined villages and fortified castles to mountainous countryside and remnants of ancient Rome, the environments reflect a nation pushed to the brink.
1348 Ex Voto‘s combat is presented through cinematic third-person encounters inspired by Historical European Martial Arts, emphasizing timing, positioning, and stance-based swordplay. As the journey unfolds, new techniques and weapon variations can be uncovered, allowing combat approaches to evolve while maintaining a focus on grounded, historically influenced action.
1348 Ex Voto is priced at $24.99 and will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC when it launches on March 12. The cancellation of the Xbox Series version was described as a strategic decision aimed at ensuring quality and stability on the supported platforms.
