Flight simulation game Aces of Thunder will launch on February 3 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, developer Gaijin Entertainment and publisher Gaijin Network Ltd. confirmed earlier. Ahead of release, the studio has now shared the official PC system requirements, outlining the hardware needed to experience its cockpit-focused aerial combat, with virtual reality support remaining entirely optional.
On PC, Aces of Thunder requires a 64-bit version of Windows 10 at minimum. The minimum processor target is an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, paired with at least 8 GB of RAM, whereas the recommended setup calls for an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and 16 GB of memory.
For graphics, the game will run on a GTX 980 Ti or equivalent, but Gaijin advises an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti or higher, or an AMD Radeon RX 7000 series card, for optimal performance. Both configurations require 20 GB of available storage, with optional VR headset compatibility across the board.
Designed as a first-person-only flight combat experience, Aces of Thunder places players directly inside historically accurate cockpits spanning both World War I and World War II. The game features dozens of meticulously recreated aircraft and multiple theaters of war, with an emphasis on realistic flight physics, detailed damage modeling, and intense dogfighting derived from Gaijin’s long-standing expertise in aerial combat simulations.
While virtual reality is a major pillar of the experience, the title is fully playable on a standard display using HOTAS setups, gamepads, or keyboard and mouse.
