Strategy and simulation god game Masters of Albion will launch on April 22 for PC via Steam, developer 22cans has announced. Created by Fable designer Peter Molyneux, the game blends town management, simulation, and tower defense within the long-running world of Albion.

In Masters of Albion, players take on the role of a god guiding the growth of the small village of Oakridge. From a divine perspective, you shape settlements, direct citizens, and establish businesses to fulfill daily orders, while also having the ability to possess individual characters and experience Albion from ground level. This dual viewpoint allows players to explore the land, uncover secrets, complete quests, and directly engage with the world they are shaping.
The game follows a distinct day-and-night rhythm. Daytime focuses on building, crafting, decorating structures, and interacting with inhabitants, offering a slower, more creative pace. When night falls, the tone shifts as monsters and beasts attack towns, turning the experience into a defensive struggle where careful planning, fortifications, and strategic use of divine powers become essential to survival.
Set in a version of Albion where old magic begins to resurface after being pushed aside by modern progress, the story casts players as the Chosen One, entrusted with godlike abilities and the power of the Mask. As threats grow stronger, players must protect their people, manage expanding settlements, and decide how Albion’s future will unfold through both creative freedom and decisive combat.
