DaRmaZat Nintendo kicks off the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. with the release of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, landing on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2! You can now get the bundle on the Nintendo eShop (nl-BE/nl-NL/en-US).
Both Wii classics return with enhanced graphics, new quality-of-life features, and extra content. Players can dive into fresh storybook chapters exploring Rosalina and the Lumas, enjoy an added music player mode, and make use of new assist options such as boosted health and auto-save. Controls also have been reworked for Joy-Con and Joy-Con 2, blending stick, button, and motion input for smooth cosmic platforming. On Switch 2, a free update allows play in 4K resolution at 60fps.
The games will be available as a physical bundle or as standalone digital downloads in the Nintendo eShop (nl-BE/nl-NL/en-US). Looking ahead, Mario & Luma and Rosalina & Lumas amiibo launch on April 2, 2026, and a hardcover edition of Rosalina’s storybook is also in development.
Recently, Nintendo teased even more 40th anniversary celebrations, including The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 2026) and upcoming Switch 2 titles like Mario Tennis Fever (Feb 12, 2026) and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (Spring 2026).
