Nintendo has revealed Mario Tennis Fever, a sports action title set to launch on February 12, 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. The upcoming release will be priced at $69.99/€69.99.

In Mario Tennis Fever, players step onto the court with Mario and friends for fast-paced matches that blend classic tennis techniques with outrageous new abilities. Familiar moves like topspins, slices, and lobs are combined with fresh defensive options and the powerful Fever Gauge mechanic. Once charged, the gauge unleashes devastating Fever Shots, which can be enhanced with a range of collectible Fever Rackets.
Each racket comes with its own unique effect, from freezing opponents in place to summoning mushrooms that shrink rivals or creating duplicates to confuse the competition. With thirty Fever Rackets and thirty-eight playable characters—the largest roster in the series so far—the game emphasizes creative strategies and variety in play styles.
Alongside its competitive depth, the game introduces multiple modes. Tournament mode features live commentary from a Talking Flower, while Trial Towers challenges players with skill-based objectives. Mix it Up mode adds unpredictable rules and Wonder Effects, and Swing mode allows for motion-control rallies with the Joy-Con 2. Online play ranges from casual custom matches to Ranked contests, giving both newcomers and competitive players room to test their skills.
Adventure mode offers a playful twist on the formula: after a mysterious transformation into babies, Mario and his companions must rediscover their tennis abilities while exploring a monster-filled island. Through battles and exploration, players guide the cast toward restoring their original forms.
