Dark Sengoku action RPG Nioh 3 will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on February 6, 2026, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team NINJA announced.

Set during Japan’s war-torn Sengoku period, the sequel casts players as Tokugawa Takechiyo, heir to the shogunate, whose younger brother Kunimatsu turns against him with the aid of a sinister force. As yokai invade and chaos engulfs the land, Takechiyo must wield the power of his guardian spirit Kusanagi to defy fate, transcend time, and battle for survival.
The story unfolds on a grander scale than previous entries, with regions spanning the Edo Castle, the Tōtōmi area, and Heian-era Kyoto. Players can freely explore these eras through expansive open fields filled with dangerous yokai, powerful foes, and treacherous conspiracies. Alongside the main quest, Takechiyo will cross paths with historical figures such as Takeda Shingen, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Hattori Hanzo, while voice actors Tao Tsuchiya and Kanata Hongo bring new characters to life.
Nioh 3 will be available in multiple editions, including a Digital Deluxe Edition with a Season Pass, exclusive weapons, and bonus accessories, as well as a SteelBook Edition in select regions. North American fans can also pre-order a Treasure Box set featuring a desk pad, soundtrack CD, artbook, and collectible keychain. All versions will include a limited-time early purchase bonus.
