DaRmaZat Developer Granzella has released a new trailer for R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos, the long-awaited remake collection of the classic sci-fi strategy RPGs. Alongside the trailer, the studio confirmed that the game’s release date, pricing, platforms, and additional details will be revealed in late September.
R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos includes full remakes of R-Type Tactics and R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate. Originally planned for release in summer 2023, the collection was first pushed to 2024, then to fall 2024, and has since slipped into 2025.
The upcoming release is set to arrive on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The newly released three-minute trailer offers another look at the tactical battles and reimagined visuals, aiming to rekindle the series’ cult following as anticipation builds toward the long-awaited launch announcement.
