Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster Brings Classic Wild West Shooter to Consoles and PC This November
DaRmaZat Nightdive Studios will release Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster, a modernized version of LucasArts’ 1997 first-person Wild West shooter, for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store on November 20.
The remaster revisits the story of ex-Marshal James Anderson, who returns to the frontier to uncover a conspiracy of greed and corruption. Players can expect an arsenal of classic weaponry, from revolvers to shotguns, while dueling outlaw gangs across a variety of dusty locales.
This updated edition includes overhauled visuals for characters, weapons, and environments, as well as restored high-resolution cutscenes drawn from original art. Multiplayer also makes a return, featuring cross-play support and a set of modes ranging from Deathmatch to the fan-favorite Capture the Flag. Additional modern touches such as 4K resolution, 120 frames per second performance, motion and gyro controls, and a new achievement system round out the package.
