Publisher NACON and its studio Rogue Factor are pleased to announce that the demo for the action-adventure game Hell is Us has returned to Steam and the Epic Games Store, and is now available for the first time on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players eager to get a taste of the adventure can try the demo until August 28. The full game will launch on September 4, 2025, for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The demo gives players access to the game’s complete first chapter, offering about an hour and a half of content—possibly more for those who try to uncover the many secrets hidden within the game.
Compared to the previously released PC demo, the new version includes numerous improvements, including:
- Improved performance on PC
- Smoother enemy targeting and counterattacks
- Added French voice-over and Chinese and Japanese subtitles
- New photo mode
Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game that combines melee combat, exploration, and a gripping story. Using a “Player-Plattering” approach that encourages players to follow their instincts rather than on-screen markers, the title aims to return to the roots of adventure games. By eliminating all intrusive guidance and hints, players are challenged to observe and think for themselves.
In Hell is Us, players take on the role of Rémi, who is searching for his origins in a country ravaged by civil war. Behind the nation’s near-complete self-reliance lies a dark secret: the recent appearance of supernatural creatures reminiscent of the region’s ancient gravestones and monuments. Equipped with weapons specially forged to fight these monsters, Rémi must make clever use of his gear to survive.
Hell is Us will launch on September 4, 2025, for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
