San Mateo-based developer Manticore Games has officially announced Out of Time, a new multiplayer roguelike action game set to launch this fall for PC via the Epic Games Store. Priced at $24.99/€24.99, the game is available for pre-order now, with early buyers receiving the “Temporal Disaster Pack”—a bonus bundle featuring exclusive mounts, emotes, and avatars inspired by alternate timelines.
Update – July 30, 2025: On July 29, it was confirmed that Out of Time will launch exclusively on the Epic Games Store on September 25, 2025.
Update – November 12, 2025: Out of Time will launch on Steam on December 16, 2025.

Out of Time drops players into a chaotic universe fractured by an event called The Shattering, which has fused past, present, and future into one unpredictable timeline. As a result, players will battle through fast-paced solo or co-op missions across collapsing regions filled with everything from dragons and killer robots to mutated sea creatures and cyber-enhanced monsters. The danger is relentless—but so is the loot.
The game ditches traditional character classes in favor of full loadout customization, allowing players to build their own playstyle each run. With over 190 million possible gear combinations, anything goes—from equipping tank armor and healing tech to wielding rocket launchers alongside time-warped melee weapons. Out of Time is as much about experimentation as it is about survival.
Manticore Games describes the project as a blend of roguelike depth, MMO-scale teamwork, and real-time multiplayer action. Players will gather in Infinitopia, the last city standing after the collapse of time, and take on missions that shift dynamically thanks to the fused timelines. It’s an endlessly replayable battle across eras where the only constant is chaos.
Chief Creative Officer Jordan Maynard said the team aimed to create “an explosive cocktail” of their favorite mechanics—mixing roguelike combat with multiplayer synergy and social features. CEO Frederic Descamps added that Out of Time was designed to grow over time, hinting at plans for new playable eras, PvP modes, and potential releases on other platforms. Built using Unreal Engine and Manticore’s Core platform, the game was developed with user-generated content and long-term expansion in mind.
