NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound Unleashes New Boss Fight Gameplay and Upgrade Systems
DaRmaZat Dotemu and The Game Kitchen have released a 14-minute gameplay showcase for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, the upcoming 2D action-platformer that reimagines the legendary franchise with intense side-scrolling combat and modern design.
The new footage follows ninjas Kumori and Kenji as they ascend a construction site-turned-demonic battleground, culminating in a dramatic underground boss fight with Rhyvashi—a powerful enemy who rains down claw swipes, falling spikes, and electric traps.
Players must master split-second reflexes and plan attacks carefully to survive. Beyond combat, the video also spotlights the game’s upgrade system and in-game shop. Players can purchase Talismans to enhance defense or unlock Secret Arts for more aggressive, active abilities. Developer commentary from The Game Kitchen team accompanies the gameplay, offering behind-the-scenes insights into level design, player progression, and hidden challenges.
