Simone Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a free Prologue Demo for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 19, ahead of the game’s official platform release. The demo lets you experience the opening chapter of the story with support for local wireless multiplayer, and save data can be transferred directly to the full game upon launch.
Originally debuting in February 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the Switch 2 edition of Capcom’s acclaimed action RPG comes bundled with all post-launch content updates – including the Grand Hub and high-profile crossover events – while introducing platform-exclusive local wireless play alongside cross-play support.
The Prologue Demo releases October 19, 2026, on the Nintendo eShop, with the full game launching December 4, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2. Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a major expansion titled Ascendance scheduled for 2027.
