Simone The Road of Dust and Sorrow, a story-driven pixel-art horror title published by Silver Lining Interactive and developed by Painted Black Games, will launch on December 3, 2026.
Inspired by classic ’90s survival horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, the narrative follows Katherine and her daughter Ava as they navigate a decaying world ruined by a failed famine-ending cure. Threatened by both feral, mutated humans known as Dusters and a sinister cult seeking human sacrifices, you must explore overgrown ruins, solve environmental puzzles, and manage scarce resources to guide Ava to safety.
The Road of Dust and Sorrow launches December 3, 2026, for PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and Switch.
