Hafthor Björnsson Joins Legacy of Valor Cast Ahead of Poznań Game Arena Showcase; Two Playable Demos Upcoming

Legacy of Valor, the medieval action-strategy RPG from developer and publisher Black Banner Studios, has officially added Icelandic actor and strongman Hafthor Júlíus Björnsson – best known for portraying Ser Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in Game of Thrones – to its cast.

Set in a grounded world inspired by 14th-century Europe, the title tasks you with reclaiming an abandoned ancestral home and expanding it into a thriving kingdom. Gameplay blends third-person directional combat with real-time tactical command over thousands of soldiers, settlement building, economic management, and a character-driven campaign alongside sandbox and multiplayer modes.

Ahead of Björnsson’s appearance at Poznań Game Arena (PGA) 2026 from October 23–25, where his in-game role will be revealed, the studio will bring two playable demos showcasing updated RPG combat and large-scale battle simulation technology.

Legacy of Valor is currently in development for PC via Steam.
