Simone TARAE: The Unbound, developed by Boundary and published by KRAFTON, brings a new top-down action RPG setting to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, introducing a dark fantasy world heavily rooted in Eastern mythology, folklore, and traditional aesthetics.
The story unfolds across Taegwido, an island formed after an outcast named Agasa fractured the boundaries of the Six Realms to break the wheel of reincarnation. You take control of one of six distinct Seekers, traveling across shattered lands and planar rifts to recover the scattered Sources needed to restore the cycle. Throughout the journey, the remaining Seekers join as allies, exposing their individual pasts, afflictions, and karma as their paths align against mythic boss encounters.
Combat focuses on fast-paced horde clearing and boss encounters designed around pattern recognition, precise dodges, and counter-attacks. Customization relies on mixing class traits, support skills, and specialized gear using mechanics based on Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. Each Seeker class utilizes distinct resources and playstyles, ranging from martial arts and blade combat to firearms and spirit manipulation.
