Originally announced as The Fading of Nicole Wilson, the story-driven mystery thriller has been rebranded as Curse of the Crimson Stag. Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer ONE-O-ONE Games confirmed the title will launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam.

The narrative follows a teenager named Brit who assists in filming a documentary at the derelict Whiteroot Hotel, a once-luxurious estate in the American Northwest tied to a series of unexplained deaths.
Exploration and investigation form the backbone of the gameplay, as players navigate the rotting halls of the hotel while contending with local folklore regarding a protective yet wrathful spirit known as the Crimson Stag.
To enhance the folk-horror atmosphere, the experience utilizes binaural audio, immersing players in a web of puzzles and adult storytelling. As Brit delves deeper into the 18-year-old secrets of the hotel, the line between supernatural hauntings and human schemes blurs, threatening to turn the documentary crew into the hotel’s latest victims.
