A new work-in-progress gameplay clip shifts the spotlight toward scale rather than spectacle, offering a quiet but telling look at one of the worlds shaping EXODUS, Archetype Entertainment’s upcoming sci-fi ARPG.

EXODUS places you in the role of Jun Aslan, and this latest glimpse opens high above Persepolis, a dense city stretching across Lidon’s scorching pole. From a balcony vantage point, the skyline reveals layers of human expansion built over ancient Celestial ruins. Looming overhead, the gas giant Galarus dominates the horizon, while the fractured Oupávia Space Tower stands in the distance as a reminder of a civilization that once shaped this world.
Rather than relying on pure action, the clip leans into atmosphere and world-building. Through Jun’s Precognition ability, you scan the environment to pull fragments of history directly from the architecture. This design approach intertwines exploration with identity, showing exactly how the past shapes both the world and Jun’s place within it. This philosophy flows into the broader gameplay, where stealth, combat, and moral dilemmas shift based on companion relationships—each adding a unique lens to the unfolding narrative.
Previous reveals showcased Jun’s distinct lineage and power, alongside the enigmatic C.C. Orlev, brought to life by Matthew McConaughey. As more footage is set to drop heading into the summer, EXODUS continues to map out a universe where history is just as vital as the future.
Slated for early 2027, EXODUS is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
