Sony Interactive Entertainment and Housemarque have released the official launch trailer for Saros, offering a final, high-intensity look at the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive before its arrival later this month. The new footage leans into the game’s signature “bullet ballet” combat, blending fast-paced projectile dodging with cinematic storytelling and surreal sci-fi imagery.

Set on the shifting world of Carcosa, Saros follows Arjun Devraj as he navigates a hostile, ever-changing environment shaped by a mysterious eclipse. The trailer highlights both its fluid, pattern-based combat—featuring weapons like the Chakram and Illumine Beam—and its more enigmatic narrative elements, including distorted environments, cryptic characters, and dreamlike locations that blur reality.
Building on the studio’s experience with Returnal, the game introduces persistent progression systems that allow players to grow stronger across runs, alongside customizable difficulty through Carcosan Modifiers. These range from accessibility-focused adjustments to more punishing challenges that alter core mechanics.
Saros launches April 30 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
