Dying Light: The Beast has received a major update introducing the Restored Land Edition. This free content drop is currently live for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

The highlight of the update is the new Restored Land solo mode, which significantly raises the stakes by introducing persistent consequences. Zombies no longer respawn, resources are limited, and vendors offer fewer supplies at higher prices, forcing players to carefully manage every decision. An optional One Life mode further intensifies the experience, allowing only a single attempt per run, with exclusive rewards for those who manage to survive.
The update also reworks parts of the game world by introducing a system where infected zones can be gradually cleansed. As areas are secured, survivors begin to return, giving the environment a more dynamic sense of recovery and progression compared to the traditional formula.
Additional content expands the gameplay experience with new vehicle-based challenges, leaderboard support for competitive play, and a range of new quests, finishers, and hidden loot. Improvements have also been made across combat, co-op functionality, and overall performance.
The Restored Land Edition bundles the base game together with all previous updates and newly added content, including features such as New Game Plus, Nightmare Mode, and ray tracing support on PC. Existing owners of one of the original editions receive this new edition at no additional cost.
