Simone The psychological horror fishing sim Out Fishing from developer Mūn Mūn Games now has a playable demo available on PC via Steam, giving players an early look at the experience ahead of its full release, which is still to be announced.
The demo, which launched on March 18, offers access to the first two chapters of the game, introducing both its core fishing mechanics and the opening of its story. Players can spend their time catching fish, upgrading gear, building a small camp, and exploring the lake’s surroundings, all presented from a first-person perspective.
While the game initially presents a calm and methodical routine during daylight hours, its tone gradually shifts as night falls. The forest becomes increasingly hostile, with dangers emerging from the fog, the wilderness, and even the water itself, reinforcing the game’s psychological horror direction.
Out Fishing blends simulation systems with narrative-driven exploration, encouraging players to investigate the lake and uncover clues tied to a mysterious disappearance.
