DaRmaZat The story-driven action adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026, bringing Ember Lab’s critically acclaimed indie title to Nintendo’s new platform for the first time. Originally released on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, the game has built a strong reputation since its debut in 2021, earning multiple industry awards including Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards.
In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, players step into the role of Kena, a young spirit guide tasked with helping restless souls move on. Her journey leads her to a forgotten village overtaken by corruption, where she must uncover the secrets of the past while restoring balance to the world around her. Exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat play a central role as players venture through lush environments filled with hidden areas, mysterious ruins, and lingering spirits.
Kena is accompanied by the Rot, small spirit companions that assist throughout the adventure. These creatures not only help clear corruption from the environment but also provide combat support, allowing players to combine their abilities with Kena’s own skills during intense encounters against corrupted spirits.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will include the complete game along with all post-launch updates. This includes the Anniversary DLC, which introduced Charmstones that modify gameplay, Spirit Guide Trials that challenge players’ combat and platforming skills, additional outfits for Kena, and several accessibility options. The release will also feature the New Game+ mode, enabling players to replay the adventure with previously unlocked abilities, upgrades, and companions while facing tougher enemy encounters.
First released in September 2021, Kena: Bridge of Spirits quickly gained attention for its striking animation quality and heartfelt narrative, blending cinematic storytelling with action-adventure gameplay.
