Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the first-person action-adventure game, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 12, joining the already available versions on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, the Switch 2 release brings the cinematic globe-trotting adventure to a portable format.

Set in 1937 between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the game follows Indiana Jones as he investigates a global conspiracy tied to an ancient power known as the Great Circle. The story unfolds across a range of real-world inspired locations, including Marshall College, the Vatican, Egypt, and Southeast Asia, weaving exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat into a tightly paced narrative.
The adventure is presented from a first-person perspective, emphasizing immersion through environmental interaction and situational problem-solving. Indiana Jones’ iconic whip plays a central role throughout the journey, functioning not only as a combat tool but also as a means of traversal and manipulation within the environment. Stealth, melee encounters, and limited gunplay are combined to create varied confrontations while maintaining a focus on tension and discovery.
Gameplay alternates between guided, story-driven sequences and broader open-area spaces that reward careful observation and curiosity. Ancient riddles, hidden passages, and environmental hazards are woven into the level design, reinforcing the series’ themes of archaeology and exploration. With its arrival on Switch 2, the game extends its reach to players looking to experience Indy’s latest adventure on the go.
