The co-op action RPG KinForge is headed to PC via Steam in 2026, and developer Seeker Entertainment has now lifted the curtain on its combat systems with an official gameplay reveal highlighting the game’s near-limitless build possibilities.

In KinForge, players take on the role of Seekers who forge bonds with powerful Ancient Elementals, beings that embody primal natural forces in a world destabilized by corruption and exploitation. Each playthrough begins by bonding with a single Elemental, which defines a player’s initial abilities and innate bonuses, but that choice is only the starting point. As players progress, they can discover and equip abilities tied to other Ancients, freely mixing and matching them to create highly personalized combat loadouts.
Abilities tied to different Ancients can be slotted independently, allowing players to combine offensive powers, crowd control, healing, and defensive tools in creative ways. On top of that, Sprites and Wisps further modify these abilities, enabling new synergies and unexpected interactions that significantly change how each power behaves in combat. According to the developers, even the launch version alone supports an astronomical number of possible combinations, with future additions expanding the system even further.
The newly revealed gameplay emphasizes fast-paced action combat designed for both solo play and cooperative sessions with up to four players. Teams venture into corrupted regions, cleanse tainted Elementals, and confront human Overseers whose actions have pushed the world toward collapse. Between missions, players regroup in the Preserve, a central hub where Elementals can be restored, new ability kits crafted, and long-term progression shaped for future runs.
Currently in early development, KinForge is being positioned as a complete, standalone experience rather than a live-service title. With its focus on experimentation, cooperative play, and deep customization, the game aims to deliver a flexible action RPG structure built around mastery and replayability when it launches this year.
