Lovecraftian point-and-click adventure The Dark Rites of Arkham will launch on February 3, 2026 for PC via Steam, developer Postmodern Adventures and publisher enComplot announced.

Set in the shadowy streets of Arkham, the story follows detectives Jack Foster and Harvey Whitman as they investigate a brutal ritual murder that defies all logic. What begins as a seemingly contained police case quickly unravels into a far-reaching conspiracy tied to forbidden cults, ancient rites, and the lingering horrors of the Salem witch trials. As the investigation deepens, the detectives uncover connections that stretch beyond time and space, threatening the fate of humanity itself.
Gameplay leans heavily into classic point-and-click design, combining dialogue-driven investigation with inventory-based puzzles across a wide range of hand-crafted pixel art locations. The narrative draws inspiration from the works of H. P. Lovecraft, weaving familiar mythos elements and recognizable characters into a noir detective framework that emphasizes atmosphere, mystery, and slow-burning dread.
At launch, The Dark Rites of Arkham will also include a free downloadable soundtrack featuring 39 tracks composed by Matías J. Olmedo, blending jazz, folk, and dark ambient tones to reinforce the game’s unsettling mood. With its expanded scope, increased number of puzzles, and richly detailed environments, the game represents Postmodern Adventures’ most ambitious project to date.
