Space Tales, the upcoming real-time strategy game from Saigon Dragon Studio, is officially slated to launch in early 2026 for PC via Steam. Alongside the announcement, the studio revealed a new trailer showcasing the latest refinements and giving players a better look at the project they describe as the RTS they’ve always wanted to create.

Set in a retro-futuristic universe where humanity’s colonial expansion has awakened ancient horrors, Space Tales follows the story of Xander, a prodigious soldier of the Inter-Planetary Expansion. Betrayal and cosmic conspiracies push him from loyal warrior to reluctant champion, as he confronts incomprehensible forces threatening to consume the galaxy. The campaign blends real-time battles with a character-driven narrative where every decision carries both tactical and narrative weight.
Space Tales‘s gameplay is built for strategy enthusiasts who value depth and precision. Players will manage resources, construct hubs across hostile alien landscapes, and command diverse armies under constant pressure. Victory requires reconnaissance, careful positioning, and adaptive counter-strategies, as each enemy faction presents unique doctrines and battlefield challenges. Defeating roaming alien bosses even allows players to tame these colossal beings and add them to their forces, introducing dramatic shifts in tactical possibilities.
The campaign spans sixteen main missions and additional side quests, each set across handcrafted worlds with distinct ecosystems, dangers, and resources. As players expand their colony using the HUB system, research new technologies, and recruit memorable allies, they will uncover galactic secrets tied to Xander’s lineage and the IPE’s ambitions. With branching storylines and cosmic stakes, Space Tales aims to deliver an RTS that respects genre traditions while pushing them into bold new territory.
