Tokyo Xtreme Racer, the latest entry in Genki’s long-running racing franchise, will officially launch for PC via Steam on September 25. The game has been in Early Access since January 23 and will be priced at $49.99 (or 6,600 yen) at release.

Set in a futuristic version of Tokyo, the game lets players take on rival drivers across neon-lit expressways while customizing cars with an array of parts and performance upgrades. Over the course of its Early Access period, Tokyo Xtreme Racer has received steady updates shaped by community feedback, including new vehicles, balancing changes, and expanded story content.
The upcoming full release adds another chapter with fresh rivals, as well as additional car models and parts. Genki confirmed that while the long-requested replay feature has been delayed for polishing, further content updates are planned after launch.
Originally debuting in the late 1990s, the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series is known for its blend of street culture, rival duels, and technical car tuning. The 2025 edition continues that legacy with modern visuals and mechanics built for PC.
