Capcom premiered new footage of Resident Evil Requiem during Gamescom 2025: Opening Night Live, offering a closer look at protagonist Grace Ashcroft’s dark past. The survival horror title is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on February 27, 2026.
Update September, 12, 2025: Resident Evil Requiem for Switch 2 has now been officially announced for launch on February 27, 2026, too.

Set three decades after the Raccoon City outbreak, Resident Evil Requiem introduces players to Grace, a young FBI analyst drawn back to the haunting origins of the series. Returning to familiar ground, she must face not only a new case but also the unresolved trauma of her childhood. The footage shown at Gamescom blended eerie atmosphere with psychological intensity, underscoring the game’s focus on memory, survival, and terror.
The reveal also tied into the franchise’s upcoming milestone, as the Resident Evil series prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary in March 2026. Capcom unveiled a commemorative anniversary logo and a special illustration featuring Grace alongside legacy characters from across the series’ long history, further setting the stage for the new era of survival horror.
