Creepy Jar has announced that StarRupture, an open-world base-building game, will launch in Early Access on January 6, 2026 for PC via Steam. The game has already surpassed 500,000 wishlists following a well-received playtest earlier this year.

During its two-week open playtest, more than 158,000 players tried the game, accumulating nearly 200,000 hours viewed on livestreams and pushing concurrent players past 6,700. The test earned a 91% positive review score, fueling Creepy Jar’s decision to delay its initial autumn release window to allow for further polish and improvements.
Set on the dangerous planet Arcadia-7, StarRupture places players in the role of a convict forced to build factories and gather resources for distant corporations. The challenge is not only to fend off hostile creatures but also to survive the destructive cycles of the planet’s unstable star, Ruptura. Combining base building, exploration, combat, mystery, and survival—playable solo or in four-player cooperative mode—the game aims to deliver a mix of familiarity and fresh ideas within its genre.
