Indie developers Roach Games and Dream Sloth Games have announced that their turn-based RPG Kingdoms of the Dump will release in November for PC via Steam. Styled after the 16-bit era of Super Nintendo RPGs, the game transports players into a quirky fantasy world where garbage becomes the foundation of kingdoms, creatures, and adventures.

The story follows Dustin Binsley, the Trash Can Knight, as he journeys through the Five and a Half Kingdoms of the Dump. Along the way, he faces filthy enemies, treacherous dungeons, and the grotesque toxic Grimelin army in a battle to prevent full-scale war.
Kingdoms of the Dump emphasizes traditional RPG design with a unique spin. Its turn-based, grid-based combat includes timed hits to keep battles engaging, while encounters occur without random interruptions. Exploration extends beyond combat, featuring platforming, elevation-based movement, and character swapping with distinct field abilities such as climbing, gunning, or bubbling to uncover secrets.
The world itself unfolds across a vibrant Mode 7-style map, filled with imaginative bosses, varied environments, and hidden discoveries. Developed by a pair of janitors turned game creators, the project blends nostalgic design with original ideas, a passion project brought to life with the help of its community of backers.
