Publisher Pocketpair Publishing and developer Surgent Studios have announced that Dead Take, a psychological horror game set in the twisted heart of Hollywood, will launch on July 31 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

In Dead Take, players step into the role of Chase Lowry—voiced by Neil Newbon—as he searches for his missing friend Vinny Monroe (Ben Starr) after a glitzy party turns ominous. The setting: an isolated, opulent Hollywood Hills mansion hiding more than secrets behind its designer walls. As Chase pieces together disturbing footage and solves intricate puzzles, he begins to unravel a chilling truth about the cost of fame and the masks people wear to survive the spotlight.
The game features an impressive voice cast, including Jane Perry (Baldur’s Gate III, Dragon Age: The Veilguard) and Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077, V/H/S/Beyond), along with cameo appearances from some of the industry’s biggest names: Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Travis Willingham, Sam Lake, and CDawgVA.
Part narrative mystery, part escape room, and all psychological dread, Dead Take blends the glamor of showbiz with the darkness underneath, inviting players to uncover a story where ambition and horror collide.
