Publisher Mindscape and developer Aesir Interactive have released the Corruption Update for The Legend of Khiimori, their 13th-century Mongolian open-world survival adventure currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store (DE, NL, US).

The expansion introduces a spreading environmental threat known as “Savdag-un khor” (poison of the earth spirit), which corrupts wildlife, distorts landscapes, and spawns dangerous world rifts. Players must utilize new crafting options – such as Cleansing Arrows and Warding Totems – to purge corrupted zones and battle hostile creatures known as Gnarls. The update also expands core survival gameplay with player hunger and thirst mechanics, introduces fresh recipes for both rider and mount, and adds the Breton draft horse, the largest and strongest mount breed added to the game to date.
A playable demo remains available for interested players on Steam. While currently expanding through PC Early Access, The Legend of Khiimori is also available to wishlist on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
