Independent developer Jan Tichota has announced that the upcoming story-driven action RPG Knight’s Path has officially crossed 400,000 wishlists on Steam as the four-person development team prepares for its first playable demo. The title is currently in development for PC and set to release via Steam.

Set in a grounded low-fantasy setting inspired by the Holy Roman Empire, Knight’s Path‘s narrative follows Alryk, a disgraced young noble forced to rebuild his life from scratch in the living region of Eranthold.
Mechanically, the title focuses on authentic combat inspired by Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). While equipment advances realistically from simple padded gambesons to near-impenetrable full plate armor, players also dynamically evolve their crude, inefficient starting combat movements into refined stances through practice and guidance from skilled teachers. Battles prioritize deliberate timing, spatial awareness, parrying, and weapon control over arcade-style evasions.
Beyond its directional swordplay, the hand-crafted open world features dynamic NPC routines, minimal UI guidance, factional choices, castle sieges, and structured knightly tournaments.
An official release date for Knight’s Path has yet to be announced.
