Independent developers STUDIO 909 and Kazuhide Oka have announced Quiet Express: Cabin 909, a train journey adventure game scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2027. The narrative-driven title features full language support for English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

The gameplay structure centers around a seven-day transcontinental trip toward the western coast aboard the titular Quiet Express. Waking up in the absolute rear passenger car, players must navigate toward the front locomotive while searching for Cabin 909 – a room that theoretically does not exist and is unknown to both the passengers and the conductor.
Progression relies on a dynamic room-rearrangement system; upon opening a door, players randomly draw three types of train cars (such as cargo cars, botanical gardens, or dining cars) and must choose one to attach next. Exploration rewards items that grant the ability to reroll these car choices or unlock hidden attic spaces and alternative pathways.
The overarching loop is bound by a recurring temporal anomaly. At the conclusion of the seven-day journey, the locomotive suffers a catastrophic, fatal accident. Upon death, time rewinds back to the initial departure station, forcing the protagonist to utilize knowledge gained across repeated runs to prevent the tragedy.
Throughout the loops, players interact with a diverse cast of passengers – including beastmen, giants, and homunculi – uncovering their personal struggles and fulfilling requests to slowly unravel the core mystery behind the time loop and the missing cabin.
