Publisher Nacon and developer Teyon (RoboCop: Rogue City) have released a new developer diary for Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, titled Pillars of the Hunt, a first-person single-player action RPG. The title is set to release in summer 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

Set in the World of Darkness universe – the same setting as Vampire: The Masquerade – this single-player action RPG casts players as ordinary humans forced to confront supernatural threats like vampires and werewolves in a dark, modern-day New York.
The diary outlines a “true RPG direction” for the studio, featuring a deep character editor where players choose gender, attributes, and skills based on the official Hunter: The Reckoning rulebook. Gameplay revolves around semi-open areas where investigation is key, which means you’ll need to gather clues and interrogate witnesses to track their prey.
Teyon emphasizes player agency, allowing missions to be approached through stealth, brute force, or silver-tongued dialogue. Every decision carries weight, potentially leading to varied narrative consequences or even romantic bonds with recruitable hunter allies.
