Rebel Wolves has finally pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated dark fantasy debut. The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially set to launch on September 3, and the studio marked the occasion with a massive “Road to Launch” event that detailed everything from combat mechanics to the game’s grim historical roots.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5 and published by Bandai Namco, the title takes us to a war-torn 14th-century Europe, where the Black Death isn’t the only thing thinning the population. A new story trailer introduces Coen, a “Dawnwalker” caught between his fading humanity and a thirst for blood, as he navigates the treacherous Vale Sangora in the Carpathian Mountains.
The update isn’t just about cinematics, as the team also showcases over ten minutes of raw gameplay, emphasizing that survival in this open world is dictated by choice rather than just reflexes. Every action ripples through the valley’s power balance. To add weight to the carnage, the developers even brought in former UFC champion Jan Błachowicz for motion capture, ensuring the combat—specifically for the antagonist Bakir—carries a visceral, authentic grit.
Pre-orders are live now across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with multiple editions available, including a physical Day One version and a digital Eclipse Edition packed with a world compendium and a comic. For those ready to face the vampire lord Brancis this fall, the wait is almost over.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
