IO Interactive is ramping up the hype for 007 First Light with the reveal of its official title sequence. Ahead of its May 27 release, we’ve finally been treated to the game’s theme song: “First Light”, an original track composed by the powerhouse duo of Lana Del Rey and David Arnold.

007 First Light puts you in the shoes of a 26-year-old Bond right at the jump of his career. It’s a standalone origin story focused on his grueling path to earning that iconic 00 status. After a high-stakes play lands him in MI6’s training program, Bond is thrust into a career-defining mission alongside a reluctant mentor, only to find himself tangled in a conspiracy involving a rogue agent from his past.
The new title sequence sets a distinct tone: adventurous, fresh, and a little less jaded than the Bond we know. For the audiophiles, a new “Beyond the Light” behind-the-scenes episode also dropped, diving deep into how the music and audio design actually drive the storytelling during missions.
Developed and published by IO Interactive, the project looks to blend their signature stealth-action pedigree with a much more character-driven take on the spy genre.
007 First Light hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store) on May 27. Nintendo fans will have to be patient—the Switch 2 version has been pushed back to later this summer.
