Ahead of its May 22 release, a newly released developer diary for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight focuses on the Batcave as the game’s central hub.

In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the Batcave is positioned as the core space connecting Batman’s progression, customization, and exploration. The latest video highlights how the underground headquarters evolves over time, expanding as the story advances while functioning as a central point for managing Batman’s equipment (including gadget upgrades), reviewing case files, and preparing for his missions across Gotham City.
The space also acts as a showcase for the game’s extensive customization options, including a wide range of Batsuits spanning multiple eras of the character’s history. From early comic-inspired designs to more recent cinematic interpretations, these outfits can be collected and displayed within the Batcave itself.
Naturally, vehicles play a similar role, with multiple Batmobiles and Batcycles recreated in LEGO form, each reflecting different interpretations of the franchise.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches May 22, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for later this year.
