Vertigo Games has announced a new remake of the classic puzzle adventure The 7th Guest, developed by Exkee. The updated version, titled The 7th Guest Remake, is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The remake revisits the iconic mystery set inside the mansion of Henry Stauf, a reclusive toymaker whose estate becomes the stage for a sinister gathering. Six guests have been invited, but the identity and purpose of a mysterious seventh guest lies at the heart of the story.
Players will explore the eerie mansion while solving increasingly complex puzzles tied to the house’s secrets and its dark history. The atmosphere builds through environmental storytelling, hidden rooms, and shifting environments that gradually reveal the truth behind Stauf’s plans.
One of the remake’s major technical features is the use of volumetric video, allowing live-action actors to appear in full 3D within the game world. This approach places characters directly inside the environments, aiming to create a more immersive narrative experience.
The 7th Guest Remake also introduces newly redesigned puzzles, while maintaining elements inspired by the original release. Combined with updated visuals and dynamic environmental effects, the mansion itself becomes an evolving part of the mystery as players uncover its hidden layers.
