DaRmaZat Developer Liquid Swords has released the official PC system requirements for Samson, outlining both the minimum and recommended hardware needed to run the upcoming noir action game, scheduled to launch on April 8 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
According to the studio, players with a mid-range gaming PC from the past few years should have little trouble meeting the requirements. Both configuration tiers require a 64-bit processor, Windows 10 or Windows 11, and an SSD installation.
For the minimum setup, players will need an Intel Core i5-10505 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, paired with 16 GB of RAM. On the graphics side, the game requires either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 with 6 GB of VRAM or an AMD Radeon RX 5600 with the same memory capacity. DirectX 12 support is required, and the game will occupy roughly 15 GB of storage space.
The recommended configuration increases performance targets with an Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 XT. Graphics requirements step up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with 8 GB of VRAM or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with 8 GB. Memory requirements remain at 16 GB of RAM, while storage space stays at 15 GB on an SSD.
Samson: A Tyndalston Story is a consequence-driven noir action experience set in a harsh urban environment where every decision carries weight. Players step into the role of Samson McCray, a man struggling under an ever-growing debt while navigating the dangerous systems and factions that control the city.
The game’s design centers around constant pressure and risk management. Each in-game day offers a limited pool of Action Points, forcing players to carefully choose which opportunities to pursue while trying to stay ahead of escalating debt. Combat emphasizes grounded and deliberate encounters rather than spectacle, reinforcing the game’s dark tone. Meanwhile, the city of Tyndalston functions as a reactive system, tracking the player’s actions and adjusting relationships, opportunities, and dangers accordingly.
