DaRmaZat Kojima Productions and Nixxes Software have detailed the full PC system requirements for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which launches on PC March 19. Following its PlayStation 5 debut as a visual showcase, the PC version aims to scale across a broad hardware spectrum while preserving its cinematic presentation.

All specifications require Windows 10/11 version 1909 or newer. A dedicated Portable preset has also been introduced, targeting handheld gaming PCs and lower-power devices.

Performance-Enhancing Features
The PC release supports a full suite of modern upscaling and frame-generation technologies:
- NVIDIA DLSS 4
- AMD FSR 4
- Intel XeSS 2
All three solutions support both upscaling and frame generation. In addition, the Decima engine introduces Pico (Progressive Image Compositor) to PC for the first time. Originally developed by Guerrilla Games for the Decima engine, Pico is the same reconstruction technology used on PS5 and works across supported graphics cards. It can be paired with frame generation or Dynamic Resolution Scaling.
Players can also opt for native anti-aliasing modes for maximum image fidelity.
Ultrawide and Aspect Ratio Support
The PC version features full ultrawide compatibility:
- Cutscenes are presented in 21:9 for cinematic framing
- Gameplay supports up to 32:9 aspect ratios
- 16:9 monitor users can enable 21:9-style display options via settings
A 21:9 mode will also be added to the PlayStation 5 version through an update alongside the PC release.
PlayStation Porter Rewards
To coincide with the PC launch, PS5 players will receive the PlayStation-logo-inspired Porter Suit: Link and Patch: Link via update. PC players can unlock these items by connecting their PlayStation account.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is available for pre-purchase on Steam & Epic Games Store ahead of its March 19 PC release, bringing its expansive landscapes and asynchronous multiplayer systems to a broader audience with scalable performance options.
