Captain Tsubasa II: World Fighters, an arcade-style soccer action game, has been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with a planned release window set for 2026.

Developed by Tamsoft and published by Bandai Namco, the new entry continues Tsubasa Ozora’s long-running journey with an expanded global scope and a heightened focus on over-the-top football action. Building on the foundations of the previous game, this sequel significantly increases scale, featuring 22 national teams and more than 110 playable characters drawn from across the manga, alongside original teams and additions created specifically for the game.
Matches are presented through detailed animations and a large collection of cinematic cutscenes that showcase signature moments on the pitch. More than 150 scenes highlight dramatic plays, rivalries, and special techniques, reinforcing the series’ emphasis on spectacle and storytelling through sport.
Captain Tsubasa II: World Fighters‘ gameplay systems have been further refined, with new super moves integrated into every aspect of play. Passing, dribbling, tackling, blocking, and shooting are all expanded with character-specific techniques, while defensive play and goalkeeping introduce additional tactical layers. These changes aim to make every exchange on the field feel decisive, whether competing head-to-head or progressing through the story-driven Journey mode.
