Hand-drawn action-adventure platformer The Eternal Life of Goldman will receive a new playable demo starting February 19, 2026, ahead of Steam Next Fest. Developed by Weappy Studio and published by THQ Nordic, the game is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with its full launch date still to be announced.

The demo will go live several days before Steam Next Fest begins and will remain available throughout the event, which runs from February 23 to March 2. Players will be able to sample an early portion of the game and explore its distinctive mechanics, with the demo staying online for a limited time after the festival concludes. Alongside the demo announcement, a new trailer has been released offering a closer look at the game’s atmosphere, animation, and tone.
Set across a vast archipelago inspired by ancient myths and fairy tales, The Eternal Life of Goldman follows a lone traveler tasked with hunting down a mysterious deity said to rule the islands. The journey unfolds through intricately animated environments brought to life with traditional frame-by-frame techniques, blending vibrant colors with darker, more unsettling imagery. Exploration plays a central role, with players upgrading Goldman’s cane to unlock new abilities and access hidden areas while confronting strange creatures and eccentric inhabitants.
The game emphasizes challenging yet flexible platforming that rewards improvisation and curiosity rather than strict memorization. Its design aims to balance precision-based action with a constant sense of discovery, delivering a narrative-driven experience that draws equally from classic side-scrollers and modern action-adventure sensibilities.
