Nacon and ACE Team have announced that The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, a cooperative survival psychological horror game, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in summer 2026. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s cosmic horror, the game sends up to four players into a cursed jungle where reality twists, monstrous entities roam, and sanity becomes as fragile as survival itself.

In The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, up to four players form a team of explorers seeking long-lost treasure deep within a jungle consumed by supernatural corruption. Danger hides in every corner, and grotesque creatures warp the fabric of reality itself. Only by keeping your mind sharp and working together can you hope to tame the jungle before it devours you. Assemble your crew aboard a galleon and prepare for each expedition by selecting weapons and essential gear. Venture into the cursed jungle, where threats intensify the deeper you push toward the gates of a fabled underground realm said to contain unimaginable wealth.
Drawing on Lovecraft’s oppressive tone and unpredictable horrors, the game distorts your senses as frequently as it threatens your life. Supernatural forces twist perception, blurring the line between the tangible and the illusory. As phenomena grow more disturbing, paranoia becomes as deadly as the creatures themselves.
Survival hinges on communication and teamwork—but as madness escalates, so do disorienting hallucinations. Can you trust what you see? One mistaken call or errant trigger pull can quickly unravel the mission. Each trek brings you farther into a lush but lethal landscape filled with hidden threats and the creeping threat of insanity. Stay vigilant, manage your resources, and resist the madness long enough to uncover the secrets buried within the jungle.
