Side-Scrolling Action Platformer Skinwalker Announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC
DaRmaZat Publisher Team17 and developer SISMO Games have announced Skinwalker, a new side-scrolling action platformer coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game is scheduled to launch in 2026.
Skinwalker tells the story of a scientist who strikes a desperate pact with a mysterious creature imprisoned in his father’s research facility. In exchange for helping the being escape, he is promised a cure for his terminally ill daughter. What begins as an act of love soon becomes a haunting descent into madness and moral ambiguity.
Players navigate the lab both as the human protagonist and as the monstrous entity itself, alternating between stealth, exploration, and brutal combat. The dual-form system allows strategic use of each character’s abilities: the scientist interacts and manipulates the environment to uncover secrets, while the beast’s raw power lets players tear through enemies in visceral battles.
Every action carries weight, as the lives you take—or spare—affect the story’s outcome. With fluid transitions between forms, grim atmosphere, and emotionally charged choices, Skinwalker explores sacrifice, guilt, and the price of salvation.
