Ravine Games and V Publishing have unveiled a fresh trailer for RAEV: Kingdom on the Distant Shores during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, showcasing the game’s world map, siege mechanics, and deeper strategic layers. The title is currently in development for PC via Steam, with a release window yet to be announced.

Set in the land of Nytland, players take on the role of ruler, tasked with transforming a budding settlement into a sprawling empire. The kingdom is inhabited by Raevins, foxfolk citizens with distinct personalities, skills, and ambitions. Each can be assigned professions that shape the growing cities, whether as merchants, militia, or future heroes.
The trailer highlights the dual path of diplomacy or conquest. Players can forge alliances and build peacefully, or engage in wars of expansion to seize rival kingdoms’ lands. Raevins themselves will react to a ruler’s choices, creating tension between compassion and aggression.
Beyond kingdom management, the game emphasizes exploration across diverse biomes and seasonal systems. Expeditions can uncover rare resources, ancient ruins, and hidden secrets, while crafting chains and technological advancements expand the empire’s potential. Defenses must also be carefully prepared to withstand ambushes, roaming threats, and hostile forces.
RAEV: Kingdom on the Distant Shores blends freeform city building, grand strategy decision-making, and fantasy storytelling. Aspiring monarchs can wishlist the game on Steam now and join the official Discord for development updates and beta access opportunities.
