Indie developers moi rai games, best known for Monster Sanctuary, and publisher offbrand games, the team behind Rivals of Aether II, have released their new project Aethermancer into Steam Early Access. After gathering over 275,000 wishlists ahead of launch, the monster taming roguelite is now available worldwide alongside a brand-new launch trailer.

Aethermancer blends creature collecting with roguelite progression and turn-based combat. Players step into the role of the Aethermancer, a warrior able to recruit and tame mythic creatures to fight alongside them. Battles unfold as strategic 3v3 encounters, where elemental abilities and careful planning are key to survival.
The fractured ruins that serve as the game’s setting are procedurally generated, ensuring every run presents new challenges, rewards, and monsters to recruit. Each attempt brings growth: both the player and their monsters carry forward strength and skills from previous lives, defying death and expanding tactical options.
With its mix of monster taming, roguelite depth, and strategic combat, Aethermancer builds on the DNA of Monster Sanctuary while establishing a new identity. Early Access marks the beginning of its journey, with further updates and content to come as development continues.
