DaRmaZat Ironwood Studios and publisher Kepler Interactive have announced Whispers in the Woods, the first major premium expansion for the survival driving adventure Pacific Drive. The DLC is set to launch later this year for PlayStation 5 (nl-be, en-us) and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Set within the foreboding Olympic Exclusion Zone, the expansion introduces a chilling new storyline centered around a mysterious cult of anomaly-obsessed fanatics. Players will explore eerie forests marked by strange effigies and symbols, encountering new anomaly types, behaviors, and dangers that reshape the journey.
Artifacts play a central role in the expansion, offering strange powers that affect gameplay in unpredictable ways. Players will also discover new junctions, interact with altars, and customize their trusty station wagon with additional parts inspired by the group’s rituals.
Since its debut in February 2024, Pacific Drive has sold over one million units across PS5 and PC, supported by free content updates such as April’s Endless Expeditions. With Whispers in the Woods adding hours of new story and gameplay—amounting to nearly a third of the base game—both new and returning players will have plenty to uncover when the DLC arrives.
