Developer and publisher Bit Kid has announced Wolfhound, a science-fiction World War II-inspired Metroidvania, launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

The story follows Captain Chuck “Wolfhound” Rossetti, who is sent to infiltrate a remote island in the Bermuda Triangle, eliminate enemy forces, and rescue a stranded crew. After a crash landing, he discovers that the island is home to grotesque experiments carried out by the mad Nazi scientist Dr. Steiner.
Players will explore the hostile island while scavenging weapons and ammo from a heavily fortified stronghold. The latest trailer showcases new enemies, including mutant rats with bladed tails, a towering armored bodyguard, and pulsating abominations of flesh.
As Rossetti uncovers the extent of Dr. Steiner’s experiments, he gains access to advanced technology that turns the scientist’s creations against him. Players can wield experimental weaponry such as a railgun and use mobility upgrades like air-dash boots and a jetpack to traverse difficult environments. Every advantage will be necessary if Rossetti is to stop Nazi forces from unleashing their twisted vision of world domination.
