John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Brings Co-Op FPS Chaos to PS5, Xbox Series & PC in Early 2026

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive will launch John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, a cooperative first-person shooter, in early 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam & Epic Games Store.

The game combines ’80s horror flair with large-scale horde battles powered by Saber’s Swarm Engine, the same technology behind World War Z: Aftermath and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. Players take on the role of the Toxic Commando, a ragtag group of hired guns tasked with cleaning up the aftermath of a disastrous experiment that corrupted the Earth and unleashed an army of undead monstrosities.

Built around squad-based play for up to four players, the game features full cross-play support across PC and consoles. Players can choose from different classes, customize loadouts, and pile into armed vehicles while unleashing weapons, explosives, special abilities, and even melee options like katanas.

With its mix of outrageous action, cooperative chaos, and tongue-in-cheek buddy-movie humor, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando promises a bloody but playful fight against overwhelming odds when it arrives next year.
