Publisher Ysbryd Games and developer Necrosoft Games have announced that school life strategy RPG Demonschool will release on September 3 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will be available with English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

Described as a “new-style tactics RPG,” Demonschool blends tactical turn-based combat with light horror and life simulation elements. Players take on the role of Faye, the last heir of a demon-hunting bloodline, as she and her classmates navigate both university life and an increasingly dangerous world where the boundaries between the human and demon realms begin to blur.
The game features a time-based planning system in which all actions are executed simultaneously after players map them out. Strategic positioning and timing are essential, with combat emphasizing combos, elemental attacks, and contextual interactions with the environment. Outside battle, players manage their schedule across a full academic semester, choosing how to develop relationships, grow skills, and uncover side quests.
The story unfolds on a mysterious island, told through expressive character avatars and a narrative that shifts from day to night, week by week. Alongside Faye are a cast of 15 characters, each with their own skills, personalities, and motivations. Who joins your party—and how their story unfolds—depends on your choices.
Demonschool is developed in Unity and will be available digitally at launch.
